Meet the Rimidi Team: Janyl Jentlie

News | June 20th, 2022

Here at Rimidi, our team consists of a variety of clinicians, bioengineers, and business professionals credited with developing technologies and practices successfully used in the healthcare industry today. But our people are much more than this. They are the backbone of our organization, and are truly what makes work even more fun and rewarding!

To showcase our unique people and culture, we’re excited to kickoff a new series featuring our exceptional team, their backgrounds, and what they enjoy most about life at Rimidi!

First up, meet Janyl Jentlie, our Director of People and Process. With over 10 years of experience in the executive world, Janyl is the perfect addition to our team. Learn why below:

Tell us about your background and your role at Rimidi.

I have over a decade of operational and executive leadership experience for companies such as UPS, Taylor Corporation, and UnitedHealthCare. I am a humanistic leader at heart, with a strong passion for employee development and customer experience. As the Director of People and Process at Rimidi, I’m responsible for standardizing our operational processes, and executing improvements within our organization. On the people side, I oversee our hiring, training, and personnel development. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is finding forward thinking individuals that can bring a new perspective to our uniquely talented team.

What drew you to the healthcare technology industry?

I’m excited by the ability to affect change in the overall healthcare process directly. What we are doing at Rimidi is specifically addressing inefficiencies in the healthcare system and providing better patient outcomes. It doesn’t get more real than that!

What is your favorite thing about working at Rimidi?

Working with a women-led startup organization that is disrupting the market is pretty incredible. Our team is richly diverse in experience - making us agile, innovative, and always willing and able to execute on new ideas.

From your perspective, what about Rimidi and its solutions do you find to be the most innovative or unique compared to the rest of the industry?

Rimidi was built with a very unique mind set, and that has helped us differentiate from other vendors in the market. Because our founder and CEO, Lucienne Ide, is a clinician by trade and has more background knowledge about actually using these devices in the field, her unique perspectives allow our company to bring a real market advantage in better understanding the problems we’re trying to solve in the healthcare space.

What healthcare trends do you think we’ll be talking about in the next 5 years?

Digital healthcare isn’t the future, it is our “now.” In the next five years, we need to see improvement in serving underserved populations. We need to continue to leverage data to create better clinical workflows and we need to optimize the patient experience. Rimidi summarizes all of these needs with our mission statement: It's Time for Better.

What are some of the ways in which Rimidi celebrates successes amongst the team?

As a team, our group works exceptionally well toward finding solutions, regardless of the problem or task at-hand. Given our open-office environment and ability to leverage technology, our teams are constantly bouncing ideas off each other. It’s like one continuous brain-storming session that leads to an incredibly collaborative team.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I’m a CYT 500 hr, so you can find me teaching and practicing yoga, buying copious amounts of candles, walking, hiking, chasing sunsets, and reading any book I can get my hands on. As a new Atlantan, I’m continually exploring new restaurants, parks, and trying to soak up everything Georgia has to offer. I’m still not sold on Sweet Tea though - #unsweetforlife.
