Meet Yonathan Ghebremedhin, Software Tester
What's some fun facts about yourself?
Some fun facts about myself are I can raise one eyebrow, fold my tongue, and run super-fast. Though the first two weren’t too difficult to achieve, I’m exceptionally proud of the last. When I was in high school and a freshman in college, I participated in track and field as a student athlete. Typically, I ran the 1,500m and 3,000m race. Looking back, it was an incredible experience and taught me so much about life and myself.
What do you like most about the work we do here?
I really like what we do here for two main reasons. First, I enjoy the hard work involved in tackling challenges for clinicians and patients, especially in areas of the healthcare industry that are new and unexplored. Second, I take pride in bringing advancements to the industry. Outdated systems have slowed down clinicians, but Rimidi helps streamline their workflow allowing more time for actual patient care.
What do you like about our company culture?
At Rimidi, I appreciate the focus on growth mindset, diversity, and teamwork. We’re encouraged to learn new skills and tackle challenges. Our diverse team brings valuable perspectives to problem-solving, and our collaborative approach makes for a motivating environment. I’m incredibly grateful to have found a workplace that aligns so well with both my personality and skillset.
In a few details, what is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is ensuring the quality of our products through thorough software testing and expanding my skill set to better integrate with the team. I take great care to develop comprehensive test cases, knowing the importance of our work, because seeing successful product launches brings me immense satisfaction. Additionally, learning new skills has also helped me understand the company’s operations better and improve my contributions.
Which company values resonate with you?
The company values I connect with most are dependability and diversity. Dependability is important because I prioritize earning other’s trust by consistently delivering on my promises. When I commit to completing a task, I follow through. Moreover, diversity is equally important because it brings a fresh perspective to our work resulting in better collaboration and quality of product.
What motivates you?
I find motivation in learning new concepts and identifying errors to improve the quality of project outcomes. Each new skill I learn boosts my confidence in problem-solving and communication abilities. Furthermore, I ensure the integrity of my work by diligently double and triple-checking test results, validating bug fixes, and providing clear documentation.
What is your favorite part of working at our company?
My favorite parts of working at Rimidi are the company culture, work-life balance, and flexibility. The team’s unwavering support makes me feel valued and heard, creating a sense of belonging and encouragement. Additionally, the opportunity to rest and recharge leads to improved productivity and performance. Last, flexibility allows me to work at my own pace, letting me achieve my goals in a way that suits my individual needs and preferences.
