Rimidi Grows Client Base 600% in 2020 as Providers Seek to Streamline Workflows and Implement Remote Patient Monitoring Technology as a Result of COVID-19
To further meet new patient and provider demands, company also expands its solution set and enhances platform capabilities
ATLANTA -- January 13, 2021 -- Rimidi, a cloud-based software platform that enables personalized management of health conditions across populations, today announced that the company grew its customer base by 600% in 2020, driven in part by changing provider needs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Notably, before the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic, Rimidi launched its EHR-integrated patient-reported outcomes survey app to help limit the spread of the virus in healthcare settings. The tool was one of the first designed specifically to flag patients with possible coronavirus symptoms, enabling health systems to mitigate the spread and optimize treatment based on individual needs. Putting the tool into use at Desert Oasis Healthcare (DOHC), over 30,000 patients have been screened for COVID-19 prior to appointments, with more than 3,300 having been monitored during self-isolation due to potential exposure. Recently, Rimidi has also helped DOHC automate COVID test result notifications as the California surge has overwhelmed staff, and is preparing to support vaccine deployment.
“The best partners are the ones that grow, change and move with your needs. Desert Oasis Healthcare has had a long relationship of innovation and growth with Rimidi, and while this COVID-19 pandemic drastically shifted our needs in 2020, Rimidi helped us quickly maneuver in an effort to better serve our patients,” said Lindsey Valenzuela PharmD, APh, BCACP, administrator of population health and prescription management at DOHC.
As healthcare providers across the U.S. looked to provide continuous, virtual models of care and improve provider and patient engagement during the pandemic, Rimidi enhanced its FHIR-enabled Remote Patient Monitoring Platform and expanded partnerships with notable health centers, including Boston Medical Center, Leon Medical Centers and Advanced Medical Care, as well as RPM service providers OsiLife, Medicor and GatewayMD.
Additional 2020 Rimidi milestones include:
● Named a quarterfinalist for the UCSF Digital Health Awards 2020 in the Remote Diagnostics category
● Selected to present as one of six companies out of over 50 for Adaptation Health’s Remote Patient Monitoring Innovation Challenge Showcase
● Honored as one of CIO Applications Top 10 Remote Monitoring Solutions
● Rimidi founder and chief health innovator, Lucienne Ide, MD, PhD, was named one of HIMSS’ Most Influential Women in Health IT, one of Healthcare Global’s Top 10 Influential Women in Healthcare Technology and was also selected to co-chair The Health Equity and Access Leadership (HEAL) Coalition.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has taught our industry many things, but at the core, exposed the need for rapid adoption of increasingly innovative digital health technologies in order to improve the patient and clinical experience, while also lowering costs. Looking back at 2020, I am proud of our team's ability to quickly adapt our services and solutions to meet the needs of providers, and know that together we can further play a role in making sustainable changes that our healthcare system desperately needs,” said Josh Claman, CEO, Rimidi.
In 2021, Rimidi will be further enhancing its platform to also support perioperative care, with specific use cases for deep brain stimulation, orthopaedic surgery and more.
